Leo
* Leo found his forever home with a lovely person, and another pig to be friends with! *
Leo was surrendered to a shelter in Quebec by his owners because they didn’t have time for him.
We’d like to send a big thank you out to the volunteers of Freedom Drivers Animal Rescue Transports for getting Leo to us safe and sound all the way from Quebec!
Leo has had some digestive issues since his arrival. He’ll go many days with normal poop, then have mushy poop. He’s had several vet visits to try to sort out the issue, but our vets can’t see what would be causing the problem. He’s had parasite medication, and been put on a restricted diet, and checked for tumours….but he’ll still go back and forth with occasional soft poop. Our vets have advised that this will just be the way he’ll be, and his adopter will have to be sure to keep his enclosure extra clean and check his bum often for any poop that may get stuck there.
We’re hoping Leo can find a forever home where there is another male (or spayed female) pig for him to be friends with.
Leo is a nice pig but can be a bit shy and stresses out pretty easily. For this reason, Leo needs a quiet home where there are no small children.
