Farley
Farley was signed over to a shelter by his owners who had decided they didn’t want him anymore.
He was put up for adoption by the shelter, but while he was waiting to be adopted it was discovered that he had several small lumps on his side and belly. The shelter took Farley out of their adoption program and had a vet examine him. The vet gave Farley a clean bill of health other than the lumps, but thought that surgically removing the lumps would be more detrimental to Farley’s health than leaving them be. Farley was happy and not in any pain or discomfort but because of the lumps, but he was considered “unadoptable.” The shelter asked the Ladybird Animal Sanctuary to take Farley in, and that is how we came to have our first permanent resident! Farley spent three months in our care at the home of one of our foster families. He became ill last week, and despite a visit to the vet, he passed away on October 28th. We’re happy that we could provide Farley with a comfortable, loving place to be for his last days, and we’re thankful to our donors who made it possible.
