Mouse
* Mouse found her forever home with her foster family! *
Mouse came into Hamilton Animal Control as a stray. She was riddled with fleas, one of her eyes was crusted shut, and she was rail thin. Poor little girl was not having a good time at all!
HAC staff put her on medication for her eye and she was given a flea treatment, which made her feel a bit better. When Mouse’s stray time was done, we were happy to rescue her from HAC and get her into the vet.
Our vets put Mouse on medication for an upper respiratory infection, as she was sounding pretty congested.
She was blood tested and she is FIV and FeLV negative! Yay! Mouse also had a fecal test done which showed she didn’t have any parasites. Vet staff gave her ears a good cleaning as they were very dirty inside, but there were no ear mites present. But what she did have (on her tiny little feet), was ringworm. No! The dreaded ringworm fungus! Blarg. Our vets confirmed that she indeed did have the fungus, so her foster home kept her away from their own pets, and administered the medications prescribed by our vets.
We’re very thankful this foster family was willing to take on a sickly kitten who was on a bunch of medications and had a contagious fungus. These folks deserve a medal!
Mouse was a trooper through everything she had to endure to get her feeling better. Her foster family quickly realized that they couldn’t let her go and now Mouse has a forever home with her foster family!
Congrats on your forever home Mouse!
