* Jersey found his forever home with lovely people! *

We rescued Jersey from Hamilton Animal Control.

Jersey came into HAC as a stray, and he was never claimed by his owners.
What an absolute doll Jersey is! Such a friendly guy. As you can see from his photos and video, Jersey could use to lose a few pounds. He’s a very hefty boy!
After his rescue, Jersey had a vet appointment where he had a physical, blood work. Blood results were normal and his physical was great, other than the obvious…
So, we’ve got Jersey started on a proper diet to get him fit!
Big thanks to The Cat Clinic​ for getting Jersey into the Purrfect Curves Program to help him lose weight! He’s doing very well on the program so far.

Here’s a note from Jersey’s foster home:
“What an absolute doll Jersey is! From the moment he walked into his foster home, he was exploring, purring and giving head bunts. He loves to be around people and visits anyone who comes in the door. He will always stay close by for pats or roll over for a belly rub.
Since Jersey is a hefty boy, he has trouble grooming his backside and needs some help cleaning. He is also on a healthy diet of wet food, a little kibble and exercise. Despite his weight, he is very playful. Loves chasing his laser, rolling over and catching his catnip toys, playing in boxes or as extra exercise, hunting for his kibble if you toss it across the room one by one. 
Jersey will bring laughter and happiness to anyone who adopts him! Just sit and listen to his adorable snoring while laying across a bed that is too small for him, watch him roll over for a belly rub or brushing but tries to give head rubs and kisses at the same time or enjoy the massage as he kneads you before falling asleep.”
