* Gracie and Lucy found their forever home together with wonderful people! Woo hoo! *

Back in 2018, we rescued a very pregnant kitty named Callie On March 15th, Callie gave birth to four beautiful kittens; Lucy, Georgie, Gracie and Ricky.
With the help of her foster mom, Callie raised her babies like a champ, and she and the babies were all adopted. Lucy and Gracie were adopted together.

Fast forward to November 2022 when unfortunately, Lucy and Gracie’s adopter’s situation changed and they had to return the cats to us. Lucy and Gracie are now looking for their forever home together.

Here’s what their foster mom has to say:
“These two kitties are sweet, affectionate and gorgeous!
They are alike and different!
Neither sister is shy. They are always interested in visitors and never hide when someone new arrives. They happily accept pets and scratches from any human who offers.
Both are snugglers but in different ways. Gracie is the more outwardly affectionate and insistent. She will sit beside me and give many head bonks to request my attention. She will climb on me when I’m lazing on the couch.
Lucy has a gentler approach. She frequently hops up on my bed and quietly sits there, purring and making biscuits, staring intently as she waits for my hand to find her. Sometimes, in the morning, she nudges me to remind me that it is breakfast time and the bowls are empty.
It is hard to tell if one is more dominant than the other. There have been times when Gracie hisses at her sister and Lucy is more food motivated, regularly stealing any wet food left unattended in her sister’s dish.
Both kitties are lean and athletic, lately given to running laps in my apartment. They are quick!
Lucy enjoys high spaces and one of her favourite napping spots is atop the refrigerator. In addition to the height, it is likely warm and we all know how much cats like heat!
Curiously, neither cat seems to be interested in my Christmas tree! Maybe because it sits on a table and more likely because looking out the window is more appealing.
These girls have been perfect guests and will be wonderful members of any family that is looking for two kitties to love.”
