Ruby
* Ruby has been adopted by her foster family! Yay! *
Ruby came into Hamilton Animal Control as a stray, and was never claimed by her owners. She is such a lovely girl! Happy and purry. Ruby does need to lose a few pounds though! She has a bit of trouble cleaning her back end because of her portly nature, so her foster family will regulate her diet and encourage Ruby to exercise to help her shed some weight.
It only took a couple of days for Ruby’s foster family to fall madly in love with her and decide she should stay forever!
Congrats on your forever home Ruby!
Ruby was our April 9th, 2021 Forever Home Friday feature!
Here’s what Ruby’s adopters to say about her:
“When we first brought Ruby home, it was to foster her for Ladybird. We had adopted Roxy (RIP sweet girl) the year before and wanted to try fostering.
Ruby came home Monday March 19th, 2018. Two days later I was paying the adoption fee! 😻 I don’t want to call this a “foster fail”, because it feels like a FOSTER WIN! We won with this cat. She is so funny and has so much personality and character. She cracks me up daily! She is the stealer of potato chips and hearts ♥️ She shows us so much affection with her head bonks, her face rubbing and kisses, and that purr! Her giant, freight train purr. She wakes me up partying every night between the hours of “what time is it” and “are you effing serious cat?!” but I love her with all my heart and couldn’t imagine life without her. I’m so honoured to be Ruby’s mum. Thank you Ladybird Animal Sanctuary for allowing us to give @rubytuesdaythecat a forever home.
P. S. She has accepted and plays with her new brother, the dog we rescued last summer. This cat really is just fantastic!“
