Kitten
Four newborn kittens were brought into Hamilton Animal Services by a concerned citizen who had noticed that their mother had not returned for them after giving birth outdoors. We placed them with a very experienced “bottle feeder” foster home, and they were growing and doing well for the first few weeks they were in our care. On April 19th, one of the kittens passed away suddenly, with no warning. She had eaten and had been active, and she was gone a few hours later. This is a sad reality for some kittens who are hand-raised. There was nothing anyone could have done differently to save her.
Our hearts go out to her foster mom.
Rest in peace wee kitten.
