Dean
* Sam and Dean found their forever home with a lovely person! *
Sam and Dean ended up at Lincoln County Humane Society by no fault of their own. We were happy to rescue these two sweet pigs and make them a part of the Ladybird family!
Sam and Dean are now ready to find their forever home.
Here’s a note from Sam and Dean’s foster home:
“Sam and Dean are wonderful little Guinea Pigs. After being in their previous home, they have really warmed up to humans. They love to be hand-fed, and are the most gentle and sweet rodents we have ever fostered or owned. Sam loves being pet, and even seeks it out! But Dean has a different hair style, so he doesn’t enjoy being pet quite as much, but we are working on it. They are currently in a home with kids, so they are good with little hands as well. They do get startled by loud noises, but they make an adorable little noise when they are.
They love to eat timothy hay, timothy pellets, and treats such as watermelon, strawberries, apple, carrots and lettuce. If you like adorable little creatures that love you and are very intelligent, please don’t hesitate to adopt Sam and Dean. (They would quite like a home too)..”
Their foster home wanted us to note that Dean is okay to pet once he feels he can trust you, and that both pigs really enjoy being outdoors (supervised in a safe enclosure).
Wondering if a guinea pig is the right pet for you? Check out this website for some of the basics of guinea pig care. They’re not the simple “starter pet” they’ve been made out to be for many years…
Please adopt Sam and Dean!
Can’t adopt but want to help? Monetary donations are always needed, but donations of Oxbow Guinea Pig food, timothy hay, small animal chew toys are very much appreciated! Donations can be dropped off (and purchased in store) at the Pet Valu in Dundas – 86 Main Street, Dundas.
