Beckett
* Beckett and Bash have been adopted by their foster home! Yay! *
Beckett was found, very close to drowning, in a homeowner’s pool. Sadly, Beckett’s sibling was also found in the pool, but it was too late for him. Beckett was brought to Hamilton Animal Services and they immediately got him dried off and warmed up. Thankfully, Beckett’s pool adventure has not caused him any serious health issues.
It seems like Beckett has not had a lot of handling by humans (as you can see from the hissy fit he’s throwing in the video) but he stops hissing pretty quickly when he is picked up and held closely. This little guy will know soon enough that humans are here to love and spoil him. We’re looking forward to him learning that!
Beckett saw the vet the day after his rescue, and he was given a clean bill of health…other than being put on a special food for diarrhea. We’re hopeful that the runs are because of all the stress Beckett has been through and that his belly will be feeling better soon. He has another vet appointment in a couple of weeks, and we’ll have another update for you then.
October 20th – UPDATE
We rescued another one of Beckett’s siblings from Hamilton Animal Services! A Beckett twin was brought into HAS as a stray from the same address, and HAS staff could tell pretty quickly that he was related to Beckett. We were happy to pick this little one up from HAS and reunite him with his brother. Beckett and “Bash” seem pretty happy to be back together.
Welcome Beckett (and Bash)! We’re so happy you’re here!
