Winter
* Winter found her forever home with lovely people and another bunny to be friends with! Yay! *
We rescued Winter from Hamilton Animal Services. She was part of a group of six rabbits (including Luna, Lily, Ricotta and Rigatoni) who were abandoned in a box in a rural area of Stoney Creek.
When a foster home opened up, we were happy to get Winter out of the shelter. She went straight to the vet to be spayed, and then headed to her foster home to recover. She healed from her surgery like a champ, and now she’s ready to find her forever home!
Here’s what Winter’s foster mom has to say:
“When this gorgeous ball of fluff came to me I’d had never had a rabbit before. It took a little time for us to figure each other out. We began having “treat time” where I’d get a bowl of veggies and fruits and sit with her, hand feeding her and coaxing her onto my lap. She LOVES these moments now and gets super excited and hops around when she sees that bowl coming! As soon as I sit down she’s on my lap and ready to go!
Winter isn’t a huge fan of being picked up yet but IS a fan of all things cuddles. She just melts as soon as I start petting her, and if I stop too soon I get the head nudges to continue. She loves getting and giving kisses and will stand on her hind legs to give them. She gets along well with my cats and dog and is just a general all around love bun. She’ll make anyone a great little fluffy companion. When she’s adopted I know it’ll be hard to say goodbye!”
