* Cleo has been adopted by a wonderful family! Yay! *

Cleo came into Hamilton Animal Services after she was left behind by her owner.
Her fur was quite matted, so HAS staff had to shave a few spots to make her more comfortable. When a foster home opened up, we were happy to rescue Cleo and get her to the vet for a check-up. The vet noted that she needed her teeth cleaned, and he couldn’t find a spay scar, though her body shape really does make her look like she is spayed.
We got Cleo in for surgery, and during the spay, the vet noticed that Cleo’s uterus was huge and full of fluid. This likely meant a uterine infection, so we’re glad we got her spayed before things got worse!
Cleo recovered well in her foster home, and she’s now ready to start the search for her forever home!

Here’s a note from Cleo’s foster home:
“Cleo took some time to warm up but once she got comfy, she showed up with all her energy! She is very vocal and will tell you how she’s feeling. She loves to play fetch and has so much energy for an adult cat. She can be a little moody (i.e. nippy and ankle bitey), but it just adds to her big personality. She perfect if you want a cat who interacts with you on many levels. She lives for snuggles and just likes to hang out near you at all times. It’s been an exiting time having her as a roommate.”
