Charlie
Sam, Chester and Charlie (as well as many other mice) were surrendered to Hamilton Animal Services when their owner was no longer able to care for them.
Throughout the time Charlie was with us, he had a pretty much constant issue with his eyes. Over several months, our vets tried many different medications and treatments, but the issue would always return. His eyes would become crusty and swollen, and sometimes close over. His foster mom did a great job of caring for him and keeping his eyes as crust free as possible when he went through these phases.
He was otherwise a happy and active little guy. He loved his wheel and of the three mice, he was the one who didn’t mind being handled. Such a sweet guy.
Late one evening, Charlie became ill and unfortunately didn’t make it through the night. We’re heartbroken for his foster mom who cared so deeply for him.
Rest in peace sweet Charlie. We will never forget you!
